For an international band to come all the way from their hometown, and perform live among a crowd of people who doesn’t speak their native tongue, it could be a major disaster.
But hey, Saosin, an international hardcore rock band coming all the way from
South California has pulled it off with a bang in their concert last Friday, January 22, 2009. They have given their fans a show they deserve and their band has been known of.
The show which lasted for two hours showcased a circus of instruments producing a volatile sound for the audience to indulge in the night. There were a lot of jumping, head banging and body slamming as fans danced around in popular songs like Fireflies, I Never Wanted To, Changing, You’re Not Alone and many more.
The pounding music began as one of the best Pinoy rock band; Typecast did the front act and warmed up the crowd for the brewing vigorous performance ahead.
RED BUGS! For thirty minutes, the stage was curtained and virtually-created red bugs keep flickering and crawling on the stage, only getting the crowd more and more impatient and excited for the band. Teasing moments where the band actually did the sound check on their instruments and played bits of intros of their songs sent the crowd on fire.
Finally, when the curtains were raised *or actually pulled down*, and revealed Cove Reber ducking on the stage while singing their first song, the noise of the fans were overpowering the sound the speakers and amplifiers make.
Which is louder? The screams? The music? Or the way the fans sing with the songs? That we can never really be sure of. But one thing is for sure, the concert was a blast. The fans were wild. The fans were head banging, body slamming and rocking to the hardcore music.
“Wow. We are actually filming this back stage to show guys back in the US, how awesome you guys are.” Cove Reber expresses his gratitude to their fans for the warm welcome and support at coming to their show.
Indeed, Saosin never failed the expectations their fans had with them With Reber’s awesome voice and Beau Burchell, Justin Shekoski and Chris Sorenson’s remarkable skills with guitars and of course who would forget the explosion behind the drums by the name of Alex Rodriguez?
But the funny thing is, their fans were the ones who never really failed the band with the warmth, appreciation and support they were given for every set they make and song they sing.
For guys who saved their tickets, remember that you can use them as a free pass to the General Admission for the upcoming TRIVIUM CONCERT this February 13.
