Here we go guys! The show weve all been waiting for is finally just an arms reach away! We've got our tickets, passes and were already singing their songs!
Reminders:
Bring an I.D. (VIP's have no tickets so make sure to bring ur id for verification)
VIP's should come in groups to make it easier for them to check the lists and to cross check the computers.
All entrances are well marked and there should be no confusion as to where to enter.
No camera's allowed.

A couple of minutes ago i got a message saying information that made me jump out of my seat! It said that another company has taken over the show of the Eraserheads reunion concert and that ticket prices have been changed to P800 and P1300! Immediately i made the call to the people in charge to find out if these reports were true...indeed they are!!!
Radiohead Media Solutions, Inc. announces the acquisition of the concert rights to the much awaited one-night-only Eraserheads reunion this coming Saturday, 30 August 2008. The Reunion is to be slated at the Bonifacio Global City Open Field. Brought to you by Radiohead Media Solutions, Inc. In cooperation with SonyBMG Music Entertainment Phil., Inc.
It has officially been confirmed that the Eraserheads One Night only Reunion concert has been taken over by Radiohead Media Solutions! After Marlboro pulled out, it seems like they took on the responsibility of doing the show and giving the fans what they want!!! Not only that, but ticket prices are also now at P800 and P1300. Tickets will be sold at ticketworld starting august 28 and you can call them for inquiries at 891-9999.
I know im the first one to release this info and many of you may not believe me but this news comes directly from a few very reliable sources!!! Believe it or not!!!

What a wild roller coaster ride this is! First off, no one was really sure of anything. Then, with the little that we did know, none of it could be confirmed. All that was known was that the Eraserheads were going to have a one night only reunion concert on aug 30. Our endless efforts simply led us all to signing up under marlboro's website, and all they could offer back to us were tracking numbers...some never even got theirs.
Then sadly, last friday night aug 22, it was announced that the concert was indeed canceled. Philip Morris was unable to get a permit from the DOH leaving them with no choice but to cancel the show. The whole weekend was madness! Texts, e-mails, people talking about it, was pure chaos! Panic! No one knew what to do next but no one wanted to let go of the possibility of watching this once in a lifetime crazy reunion! And thank God for that! Because our prayers were answered!!! By sunday afternoon, it was re-confirmed that the show was actually going to push through!!!!!!! Not to mention how all of this was for the band themselves! I cant speak for any of them but im sure canceling the show would've been an impossible thing to do. I just love it how you can't stop rock and roll!!
There are new promoters and it is an entirely different company handling the show now and just some other details are different.
Age Limit is now 12 years old and above. Tickets will be sold this week, VIP passes apparently will remain the same as if it was still under marlboro.

About 10 minutes ago i got the text i was hoping would never come. The Eheads concert is cancelled.
Because the Department of Health (DOH) refuses to issue a permit, they've been left with no choice but to cancel the concert. We know that they've been having the hardest time to make this happen because of all the laws and what not, and i guess those troubles have gone far enough and to the point that they've just decided to let it go and not have the show instead.
This is a very sad day in Filipino Music. Thousands, perhaps millions of people have been talking about this once in a lifetime experience for nearly a month now, and without anyone being able to confirm anything absolutely solid, the buzz has just gotten louder and louder. I wonder what kind of monstrous noises we'll be hearing now that the concert has been called off? But what a sad day indeed. People from abroad have purchased tickets to come home just for this one reason. T-shirts have been made. Countless playlists on iPods and radio stations have all paid tribute to the Eheads as a result of their One Night Only Reunion..and now its cancelled. Shit.

Coincidentally, i saw Raims that night at the Shinji Ilabas Mo Na Ang Helicopter album launch. It was a great night and everyone was in great spirits and excited and happy! I took it as well as my opportunity to at least let him know that there's talk of a reunion. I reckoned the worst thing that would happen would be that he'd look at me funny and laugh. I first congratulated him and we had a bit of a chat then i decided fuck it, it never hurt to ask. So i said, "Raims, there's word on the street that the E-Heads are getting back together for a one night only reunion?". In brilliant Raims fashion, he says "Talaga!?! Tara Migs nood tayo?!" So we laugh and i knew that that was his way of not talking about it. But, he didn't deny it, and to me, that was confirmation. Just with the need for the delikadesa to not pry.
Since then, much has been said about many things. From the date to the venue to the sponsor to the talent fee they're paying the band to how long they'll play or how many songs they're doing to this and that and all that jazz. And whats brilliant about it, is that no one can really confirm anything. Well, except a couple of things of course!

Ya nga eh...i realized that the information given to me was not complete and that mtv is not part of it. radiohead media solutions talaga, as well as sonybmg. got the info din kasi from mtv eh which is why it seemed that way...anyway, all is clear now :)

kala ko talaga suntok na lang sa buwan na mapanood namin to cos all the marlboro site shows is that Mr. Buhay guy who won, zilch for Eheads details. Mas ok na din na may ticket at lest super sure na makakapanood ang madlang Pilipino. Damn, so excited!!!!

lots of people are u know.walang magawa saying lots of things against this once in a lifetime event na pwede magbago ng buong music industry...
dami ng nangyari simula ng mawala sila...daming banda na nabuo,daming banda ang nawala..but their music continues to live on...
me,personally,i dont care if how or why they are doin this...whats important is they are doin it...
everyone of us has their onw reason why we are doing things..cmon guys,mga tao lang din yang mga yan...pagkakaiba lang sikat sila...
if they were offered that huge amount of money,then wala na kayo pakialam dun..eh sigurado ako kahit sa inyo ioffer yun,baka madapa pa kayo sa pagtanggap ng pera eh...di ba?...di nyo hawak ang utak nila...di nyo din hawak kung ano desisyon nila...
ang importante,whatever the reason might be...they are back on stage and will perform kahit 45 minutes lang...
marami ang natuwa ng marinig to,marami ang umaasam na mangyari to...eheads change the pace of music scene when they started out noong 90's.
noon ang banda,hindi masyadong tanggap sa pinas..iniisip nila pag banda ka,addict ka..masamang impluwensya...pero when they entered the scene..they did what we are enjoying right now..listening to the music na pati ata anak nyo na hindi na inabutan ang eheads na buo eh kinakanta..
dami sumunod sa knila.dami nagkalakas ng loob subukin ang pinasok nila...dati,cheap pag nakinig ka ng opm,pero ng sinimulan nila,ayun..ultimo mga college student,kinakanta kanta nila..nakikisabay.nakikijam...aminin nyo mat hindi..lalu na sa mga detractors nila,nakinig at nag enjoy kayo sa musika nila..at one point,nakasakay kayo sa trip namin..na binabasag nyo ngayon...

ang nakikisakay lang daw at nag aasam na mangyari to eh yung mga babies pa noong 90's..kasi di daw nila inabutan ang eheads,pero yung mga kagaya daw nya na naksaksi ng lahat,eh di naman daw excited...hello????..eh baka nga mauna ka pa sa concert pag nagkataon..naku kung kilalal lang kita baka no pa magawa ko sayo pag nakita kita dun...im one of those people na nakita kung panu nag umpisa at nwala ang eheads..and im one of those people who were touch on their music...dahil sa kanila..naipursue ko yung dreams ko na magbanda din..i begin to fell inlove with music at that time..and up until now,im so much inlove with it,na hearing them being again together is one hell of a ride for me..

After reading the latest from Raims, im truly saddened. But somehow i guess im not truly surprised. And i can kinda see it happening in my head now...the 4 were asked to reunite for one night, the 4 of them said its a crazy idea, maybe a bad idea, they were assured that things would go well, and now that the day is nearing, things are not ironed out. the legalities might not have even been an issue in the beginning but they may be the reason for the difficulties now...as raims says, give the people what they way.

OMG.i dont knwo but the 45 minute thing may be true. i had the opportunity to talk to other bands and they said it's going to be a 45 min.performance. i hope they are jsut kidding. i want a6pm to 6am concert of the eheads!

i've been already registered on the redlist, meaning, i have my username and password and just waiting for the next details. i also signed up to be markus' vip and I am in his list. di naman unfair yung kay makoy.. it is only an ssurance na makakapasok ako sa venue in case na may mangyari sa redlist invitation ko.. i'm not personally affiliated to makoy but raims know me, being a member of subsandwich for a long time. yown!

Hi thief, how are you? You know what, i agree with you. This thing youre saying about it being unfair is probably true....to a certain degree. Its true that its unfair that you need to be a friend with at least one of the band members to guarantee you an invitation to the show. Its unfair that so many people, including minors, will not be allowed this once in a lifetime opportunity. So i cant blame you for feeling the way you do, im sure thousands of people feel exactly the same way you do. However, lets try to put this whole thing in proper perspective. Marlboro is putting this together for their smokers, its a gift they are giving to their clients. That being said, minors really cannot go, sorry kids, i know many of you are dying to go too, but you cant blame the event on anyone, its simply the way the cookie crumbles. As for those who are of legal age, i suppose all we can really do is wait for your invitation. I know that none of us feel like were guaranteed a ticket because lapit na and still no invite, but lets think positively and not have such a heavy heart as a result of this uncertainty. Why stress when in the end, baka naman lahat tayo na naka sign up ay may ticket na pala!!??!!

im just really frustrated you know..whats happening is that almost all the people who are gonna watch the eraserheads concert are VIPs. i dont get it really.... marcus invited all of his multiply friends as his guests, raimund has a list too of all his friends. im sure all of the other guys have lists as well. so that is 4 members of eraserheads, and the fifth member...hmmm....starting to sound unfair to the other people not really personally affiliated with eheads who also wants to watch the reunion concert. what if im not a friend of any band member of the eheads, and i see people getting in via guestlist becoz they are friends with one of the band members...OUCH.... KAPPOOOW.... i have nothing against eheads. actually i love them to bits, but i guess i agree with some people who say that, its really unfair..

ah basta! i know there will be a concert on august 30 and it will be at bonifacio global city open grounds in taguig city and you have to sign-up to that little site to hopefully get an invite and for admission to the event venue itself, invitees are required to present the personalized invite containing their name and birth date and a corresponding government-issued ID for verification...hehehe :)

kung pumayag sila mag world tour, baka sayang lang. but then again, who knows? could be a really good idea. saken lang, purist ako eh, a reunion should be exactly that, just a reunion. If you turn it into a tour, the hype of their reuniting is lost...but yes, i do agree that everyone that wants to see them should get the chance. what you do with that chance is the hard part :)

yehey!!! i've seen them perform a long time ago. they were amazing then as i know they will be again. sana wala ng 18 above only, vip or whatever. sana the younger generation will be allowed to see them on stage again. sana LAHAT ng pinoy makapunta at makanuod sa kanila and be one and see just how great this band truly is!!!

Look what i ran into while researching more about the concert!
Padilla said the popular band, which disbanded in 2002, should disassociate themselves from a cigar company who will be sponsoring their concert.
"With their prestige, they should disassociate themselves to tobacco products which have no value or use. They should heed the law and bring the youth to other productive activities. Tobacco products should not be promoted," Padilla said.
"Considered one of the most influential bands in the country, the Eraserheads has become a role model of sorts for our young. I hope they will rise up to the challenge, do more than play music, and help young Filipinos reach their potential," said Dr. Maricar Limpin of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Alliance-Philippines.
Limpin asked the Eraserheads to duplicate a recent act by singer Alicia Keys. The award-winning singer and pianist recently rejected the sponsorship of cigarette giant Philip Morris for her concert in Indonesia.
Louis Camilleri, chairman and chief executive officer of Philip Morris, has confirmed in a letter to Matthew Myers of Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids dated July 30, 2008 that their company is behind the reunion concert.
Limpin said even if Philip Morris' name will not come out on any poster, billboard or material related to the Eraserheads concert, the public knows that to watch the concert, one has to be a member of the Marlboro red list.

havent communicated for a long time. but im pleased to announce that the band was playing better than i ever remembered. i guess we all did our homework haha.
i wont say how many songs we finished but it was a lot. there was a
lot of drums and no drama.

so-called "red list" and just might be able to get an invite to see them in concert..so here's my kwento..nag sign up ako and after answering a bunch of questions online
and giving personal information and submitting a scanned id with my date of birth....they gave me a tracking number...tapos sabi nila they will send me my login
details to the marlboro site after a week, halos isang buwan na wala pa rin update galing sa kanila. i also tried retrieving my login details using the tracking number that they gave me
baka kasi nalimutan lang nila i-send sakin or busy sila or holiday sa kanila or whatever hehe...anyway, i entered that number pero wala namang nangyari...instead the site asked me AGAIN to send a copy of
my id! weird diba? eto pa abs-cbn news online has picked up the story on government's backlash against that marlboro site.
i think the band, or a spokesperson should speak up about this and finally clear up all the rumors once and for all now that its really out in the open.

even though i'm not smoking & i hate cigarettes, i also registered in the marlboro site. until now i haven't got my membership. im still waiting for d confirmation.
but my brother told me dat d concert is impossible to pursue since there's an RA saying dat no tobacco/cigarette company can hold a concert or activity hir in the philippines. i haven't checked dat RA so i don't know if my brother is jst joking. mybe someone can research about that RA.

hey my friends and I signed up to that marlboro site as soon as the news broke out! if memory serves me right, you have to answer some kind of survey on smoking and brand of cigarettes you prefer and all that and submit a scanned ID indicating your birthday so they can verify your age because you have to be 18 above to join. it was quite long..AND I DON'T EVEN SMOKE!!! but i had to endure it since it was all for eraserheads :) hehehe...BUT I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM THE SITE SINCE!
