Jeff Beck, Metallica,The Stooges, Chic, Wanda Jackson, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Run D.M.C., War and Bobby Womack are this year's nominees for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Of the nine, five will be inducted into the Cleveland museum at a ceremony scheduled for April 4 at Public Hall in Cleveland.

And yet, still no : Deep Purple, Alice Cooper (The original band), Grand Funk Railroad (Fat chance given their loathing from Rolling Stone Magazine back in the 70's), Jethro Tull, Rush or Yes. But, all is well as Madonna is in the hall. One would've thought the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan would have been a shoo in the first time, but I guess Stevie isn't deemed worthy enough compared to Run D.M.C.
