My Profile
Name: Miko Pepito
Location: QC
Relationship Status: Single
Record Label: Bagani Music
Sounds like...: a conversation between Andres Bonifacio and Yoyoy Villame while waiting in line at a 311 concert.
About Me: A versatile artist, Miko Pepito’s spokenword creations are grounded in his affinity for music. His multifaceted pieces mix poetry with music, movement, and a touch of madness. Tastefully off-beat and highly original, his music matched with his playful yet poignant poetry and trademark maneuvers, morphs each performance into a head bobbin’, foot stompin’, finger twitchin’ experience!

Most of his works focus on Filipino social issues, mainly on how people interact and relate to each other, both the positive and negative points of views. He sees and points out what he thinks is wrong with the social system and encourages everyone that there is hope as long as we let go of pride.

REVIEWS

"...Miko Pepito’s performance of “Tabi Tabi Po” distills the potent essence of the man on the street. His train-of-thought phrasing captures the wayward, colliding and come-and-go thoughts of a pedestrian. The accompanying music Pepito crafted for his own words is absolutely groovylicious. Make way. These words and beats are coming through..." - Rome Jorge, Manila Times

"...Tabi-Tabi Po" by Miko Pepito is a cleverly arranged and humorously instructive street cant; all things you love and hate about Filipino roads are showcased here, annoying hyena laughter from that ubiquitous radio station (you know the one) included..." - Jo Poblete, Business World

"...Bitaw, a cross-disciplinary arts group composed of actors, musicians and designers, has also held Spoken Word nights at SaGuijo and BigSkyMind. Their brand of Spoken Word is wacky and theatrical. Their verses are highly narrative (“Inside the Mind of a Stalker” by Miko Aguilar) and inspirational (“The Dreamer’s Manifesto” by Jourdan the Dreamer)...:" ROme Jorge, Manila Times
