CARLO• Born on December 26, 1982 in Manila.• Attended La Salle Greenhills for elementary and high school education, and studied computer engineeringin De La Salle University.• Frequent honor student• Member of the La Salle Greenhills School Band• Can also play the guitar and percussions• Musical influences are: Wolfgang, Razorback, Incubus, Eraserheads, POT, Greenday, Blink-182, TheYouth, Yano, Deftones, Busta Rhymes, and Boys to Men.• Writes most of the lyrics • Enjoys watching other bands perform, amateur or professional
KUBACK• Born April 13, 1979. Is the eldest member of the band• Went to Quezon City Science High School and U.P. Diliman• Began playing bass guitar at 14• Avid book reader, anything with a good premise• Likes to play basketball

FRANCIS• Born on March 27, 1983• Studied in La Salle Greenhills and the College of St. Benilde• Has been playing the drums for 9 years Received basic formal drum training• Played for the La Salle Greenhills band for 3 years both guitars and drums.• Played in the U.S. for Striking Method for 6 months. Both with recording and gig experience.• Have no particular musical influence. Listens to almost every genre of music.• Current drummer of Loquy and Versus Venus• Understudy drummer for Pinikpikan and Spy
ALI• Born on February 22, 1983• Graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University (BS ECE)• Studied in La Salle Greenhills High School• Played for the La Salle Greenhills Band for 3 Years (guitarist)• Played for Monkeyspank for 9 years • Musical influences are Incubus, Bamboo, Rivermaya, Blur, Silver Chair, Red Hot Chili Peppers, JoeSatriani, Stone Temple Pilots, Wolfgang, Razorback
PATRICK• Born on June 18, 1983• Started playing the guitar since 3rd grade has continued playing ever since• Studied in La Salle Greenhills high school and De La Salle University.• Enjoys music and poetry• Currently working in Wombworks Recording Studio as a Sound Engineer and has recorded various artistssuch as Pupil and Sponge Cola among others• Composed the score for the play “Romeo Juliet” and is currently working on the score for an upcomingmovie project
DJ• Born on April 13, 1982• Studied in Ateneo de Manila high school, De La Salle University, and UP College of Music • Has sessioned for a variety of artists including Bayang Barrios, Aiza Seguerra, TALA, Project Fusion,Mojofly, Adjundie, Jesuit Communications Group, Tropical Depression, Pinikpikan, Spy, Rivermaya• Current percussionist of Monkeyspank and Tropical Depression• Recorded materials for Bayang Barrios 3rd album, “Hit” Productions and 89.9 Acoustic Break Album• Recorded soundtracks for independent films
Biography:Composed of Carlo Martinez on vocals, Kuback Deogracias on bass, Patrick Tirano and Ali Frias on guitars,Francis Aquino on drums and Dj Rodriguez on percussion, Monkeyspank has a solid foundation based onfriendship and a musical affinity fostered by the 9 years that the members have performed together as a band.Their sound is enhanced by their multi-faceted backgrounds; some of them belonging to and/ or receivingtraining from today's premiere bands such as Loquy, Tropical Depression, Bayang Barrios, Spy, and Pinikpikan;a background in Sound Engineering and most importantly, a true love and dedication for creating good music.Monkeyspank is interested in cultivating and spreading music throughout the country by means of continuouslygiving both electric and acoustic performances as well as experimenting on the various instruments found in thePhilippines and other countries. They also strive to project the right attitude on influencing the current musictrends by spreading the message that "Young musicians must endeavor to create original music to enhance theFilipino music industry." With the growing concern and battle against piracy, it is also the band's objective topromote awareness of this cause. This they have done by releasing their own self-titled EP in 2001.Monkeyspank also aims to create a new musical genre due to the various influences that have shaped theirunique musical style, which is a fusion of hard rock, metal and funk elements.Through the years, Monkeyspank has acquired a loyal fan base by performing in many of the established musicbars in the country such as Mayrics, Freedom Bar, 70's Bistro, Saguijo, 6 Underground and Peligro amongothers. They have also been featured in television such as their performance for "Rock Myx" and UNTVPhilippines and in radio talk shows such as NU 107.5's "In the Raw." Monkeyspank has also performed forsome of the country's premiere music festivals such as the "Fete de la Musique (2003, 2004, & 2005)" and"Music Museum (2004)." In their own words, "Monkeyspank is a band made up of 6 monkeys who once dreamt of playing their instruments in front of a crowd...all for the love of music. Now, they are living their dream.
