the first one was just to get my fear out of needles and to suffice the satisfaction getting one of my long-time goals checked out of my checklist...i always thought that it would be just a 'one-time-thingy' and that getting just one would be enough for me..but then again, i was wrong... one thing that pops out of your head, once your first tattoo is done is: "what would be my next?" then comes the next idea: "hmm..what do i like?...let me search it on the web and get cool designs!" ^u^
it wouldn't be much of a temptation too if there wouldn't be these great shows and events that you know of that features awesome artwork. main example: Miami ink.. then came LA ink...then, we also have the yearly "DUTDUTAN", where we feature the great works of Philippine tattoo artists, most common participants are from the local organization, PHILTAG.
there would be a lot going to those local artist we have here in the Philippines that contributes to that fine craft of digging in deep on flesh with ink and making it a piece of art.Hailing to the best artists: Sir Ricky Sta.ana...-->to the artist that made axel's and one of my tattoos: Sir Ding Fernandez, to all that are under the Skinworkz team..
next thing we knew, there's Pinoy ink->kudos to the guys that are under this shop-consists of the people also from Black Strawberry(the one before in glorietta-red lane-before it was blown up..)..Sir Pok, who made Axel and I's 1st's..--> the tattoo community here is really that small...everyone knows everybody...hahaha XD
oh well, i am itching to get my 2nd tatt colored..(thought i was happy having it just plain black..but, unfortunately, my two stars can't be distinguished and also because it wasn't big enough to get all the much details put into it...sigh!) anyway, i'm planning also to have a big one done in my back, and one more on the back of my right ear....
some of my ideas are: the Gayatri Mantra :
गायत्री मंत्र की व्याख्या
Gayatri Mantra (the mother of the vedas), the foremost mantra in hinduism and hindu beliefs, inspires wisdom. Its meaning is that "May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path". The mantra is also a prayer to the "giver of light and life" - the sun (savitur). Godddess Gayatri is closely linked to Saraswati (goddess of education) and Lakshmi (goddess of wealth).
Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction.
the other one is: The seven chakras..

the other one is somewhat like this: a combination of japanese clouds and cherry blossoms:
and the very last idea is a dream catcher:
Dream Catchers are an ancient spiritual tool used to help assure good dreams to those that sleep under them. A dream catcher is usually placed over a place you would sleep where the morning light can hit it. As you sleep all dreams from the spirit world have to pass through the dream catcher.Only good dreams can pass through the hole in the center while the bad dreams are caught in the webbing and are destroyed by the morning light. .
Dream Catchers are designed to capture bad dreams in the web, and allow good dreams through. The semi-precious stones in the web enhance spiritual communication and guidance.
and the one that i'm planning to have on the back of my ear, are three stars..aun..stars! weee ;p
ito, funny story though, we know how parents get whacked out by the idea of their sons, especially daughters getting tattooed--> we know how it is right?, so here's how my dad reacted when he saw my tattoos:
when i went home one saturday in our house in Manila, i intendedly wore a sando and waited for both my dad and older bro to notice a tattoo that i had for my 21st birthday..aba! walang nakakapansin...so i made an effort, i tied my then very long hair in a pony tail..wala pa rin...then, i was itching to get noticed, i then asked my bro: 'alam mo ba regalo ko sa sarili ko nung bday ko?' , then he began rummaging through my bag..the i said,"ito o, wala dyan, nasa likod ko.." ahaha, then he saw the tatt, began shouting to my dad in a pasumbong voice, "pa o! si nikki may tattoo..sira ulo, nagpatattoo!!;p"
then my dad approached me, "asan?"..
nikai:ito o..
papa ko:masakit?
nikai:oo..
papa ko: masaya ka naman ba?
nikai: oo nman pa...ehehe
papa ko: smiling face :)
WAHAHAHA XD
--> on the second tattoo..--> i came home wearing a mini skirt..di pa din nya napansin...my dad was the only one home, and my older bro already saw the album here in my multi when i got the second tattoo..so ok lang....nainis nnman ako...pinakita ko na sa dad ko, tapos sabi nya...."ayan nagpadagdag ka nanaman.." explaining why i got it and the story behind it, that it's about our family...sun-my mom, moon- him(my dad) and the two stars-my bro and me..he then shrugs it off..adding "ah ganun ba", then while watching tv, "patingin nga ulit"...then asks"san ulit ako dyan?"--> aun nangulit na! wahahahahaXD
comedy noh?
ang saya saya...
