Overtone is a three piece rock group consisting of Norby David on Bass, Jay Padua on Guitar and Frank de Castro on Drums and was formed back in 2003. Overtone has been consistently playing the bar scene, performing various rock, alternative and punk songs while gaining a loyal following of fans.
Having been musicians for quite a while, each of Overtone’s members has experienced performing professionally with other bands and accompanying other artists in different genres of music. Overtone’s
music blends all of the members’ personal tastes in music while infusing modern rock and punk styles.
Overtone has recently released their debut album entitled “…From inside the Fishbowl”, which consists of twelve original songs, all written and arranged by the band. Each song has its own distinct feel and touches on a lot of common topics, mainly about the band’s personal experiences, which a lot of people will be able to relate to. A good mix of energetic and fun songs, Overtone’s music can be enjoyed by a wide variety of people.
Overtone is currently promoting their new album, doing a lot of promotional gigs around the metro,
planning radio tours and is in the of process of creating a music video for “Rule#1: Wag mong aaminin”, the Band’s chosen first single. Overtone is also involved in Rivermaya’s new TV show, called Bagong Liwanag, as the house band for show, which will air in Studio 23. Overtone’s album “…From inside the fishbowl” is currently only available at gigs, but will be in record bars in the near future.
